What if it was right now?
If today was the last day,
If it was going to end,
What would you do?
What rules would you bend?
What things to get done?
What chores to attend?
What people to see?
What relationships to mend?
What things would you say?
What events to attend?
What face to put on?
What emotion to pretend?
Who would you thank?
How much of what would you lend?
Will your life be complete?
Will yourself you commend?
Or maybe when you think about it
You didn't live the full life
That you once did intend,
And now you're not ready
for it to come to an end.
Because life's much to short
to count the minutes you spend
with parents and siblings,
with children and friends.
And its not long enough to
Not have helping hands to extend.
And there's not enough people
Neither women nor men
To stay mad at the people
Who may come to offend.
Because we have too limited time
I'll say it again,
Before you're turn will come
For it all end
