THOUGHTS FROM MY MIND

I sit here and I try to wipe the thoughts form my mind
But your memory keeps reappearing like a ghost from behind
I wish that I could stop myself from thinking abut everything
Yet inside I know I can’t forget everything that we meant
The feelings that we shared
All the hours we spent together
Both the good times and the bad
I know that it’s all in the past
But right now that’s all I have
What we had was something special
But now I know it’s gone
And what I miss most is holding you in my arms

My heart is still hurting
And I guess it always will
My eyes haven’t been dry
Since the day you said good-bye
I would like to call
But you don’t want to talk
So I lay down on my bed
And close my eyes tight
On the radio I hear a song
And my heart skips a beat
Tears fill my eyes
As I begin to cry myself to sleep

I sit here and I try to wipe the thoughts from my mind
But your memory keeps reappearing like a ghost from behind
Through the tears and the pain
I know just what I really need
But you won’t come to see me
Yet your memory refuses to leave
And what I miss most is holding you in my arm

TRULY LOVE ME

Every night I sit here at this
Same old bar
Trying to drink away my blues
Along with all the memories of you
People se me laughing and carrying on
But what they don’t see are the
Pictures of you tearing me in two
Tear drops fall like rain
From a hurricane
Flashbacks keep me from singing
Along with my favorite tune

Damn you, oh damn you!
Why won’t my mind just leave you alone
If my heart could only learn to let you go
Than my soul would be free to
Find someone to truly love me

Here I sit again tonight
My friends all think that I’m all right
But my eyes don’t lie
And if you look closely you’ll see
The teardrops standing in pain so visibly
Bar tender give me another shot
On second thought, just pass the bottle
For you see a king size bed’s no fun for one

Damn you, oh damn you!
Why do I still love you so
Won’t I ever learn to let you go

I know that if I could learn to live for me
Than maybe one day I could be free
Someday find someone to truly love me

If I can finally learn to live for me
Than one day I will be free and find that someone who will
Turley love me

Oh love me
I’ll find that someone who will truly love me

DON’T FALL IN LOVE

Have you ever really loved someone
Yet knew they didn’t care
Did you ever feel like crying
But known you’d get nowhere
Have you ever looked into their eyes
Then silently said a prayer
Did you ever look into their arms
And wished that you were there

I see your face in al my dreams
Your memory lost at heart
But every time I see you there
I somehow fall apart
So I’ll tell you now
Don’t fall in love
You’ll be hurt before your through
You see my friend I should know
Because I fell in love with you

YOU

I think of you so very often
And every day my heart wonders if you think of me
I dream about you all the time
Your picture, voice and words stay locked in my mind
It is almost as if they are one in the same
I hear your voice in the hall
All I think about is seeing you
Are your lips as soft as they look?
Mine wonder as well as long to find the answer
When I fill eyes upon me and look to discover
They are yours
You cannot begin to imagine how my heart leaps with joy
I know that for now my love must stay hidden
And for right now
If you love me
It is forbidden

Life’s a Bitch
And then you die
So what’s the point
Of being alive

If you love someone
No matter the form
You’re gonna get burned

Friendships come
But then they go
For a while some seem to grow
But that’s ‘cause the ends just coming slow

Trust is the answer
And it’s always no
That’s how hearts are broken
Now I know

Keep all the doors locked
And let no one in
That’s the key
So that you can see
When they try to break in
Or else they’ll steel your soul
Before you know
And then you’ll watch
Them go
That’s when the tears
Really flow
You’ll hear the door slam
And think it’s the window
When you hear the shatter
Only to discover it’s your heart
And to them it never really mattered

TRUE LOVE NEVER ENDS

There was no fight
As they said good-bye
He hugged her tight then watched
As she drove into the night
Thinking through her tears that
He’d come for her someday
Every mile she keep telling herself
Girl you’ve got to be strong and
Just hold on
‘Cause true love never ends

The Rockies towered majestically
Winter came and she cuddled with his memory
Letter after letter she awaited his reply
Making excuses abut why
She always cried
Then one day a miracle happened
A letter arrived
“you know I’m not good at writing
But, Baby, don’t loose hope
We’ll never truly be apart
‘Cause true love never ends”

Almost a year latter
She takes down all of his pictures and
Along with his only letter
Under some old sweaters in a bureau drawer they go
After a few hours
Some shots of tequila and a couple of beers
When the third cowboy asks for a dance
She stumbles to her feet with a smile

The cowboy wiped away all of her tears that night
He told her everything would be all right
When he heard her whisper
To hell with true love if it ever existed

Six month later
An engagement ring on her finger
She and her cowboy go to town for a night
In the bar where they met
Destiny seals her fate

For on that night
She sees him and
It all begins again
‘Cause true love never ends
**************************************************
Where she was now
Nobody knew
Only one person could save her
And he hadn’t a clue
For over the years she’d become
Very blue
Living without him
Was something she couldn’t do

AGAIN AND AGAIN

Again and again
The tears do fall
It happens so often
Every week every day
When will it end
Will it ever stop
A full day of happiness
Cheer and glee
Or will it all go on
Forever and ever in the dark
I need to know for if it is to keep on in such a matter
That my heart will keep breaking
Time and time again
Then I
Must finally be the one to put it to an end
A permanent end
That will last forever
One that only death will deliver

FEELINGS OF THE SEA

The beach is stormy and no matter how hard I look
I can’t see its beauty
Two days before it had started like this
Only then its beauty was present even unto my naked eyes
But then he called
After that my tears as well as the rain began to fall
Now like then the sky is a stormy gray
Not many people like its looks on such a day as this
But yet I know that if a hurricane were to hit
This place would survive
And still look better than I
Oh, woe is to me for I look like hell
Drowned and washed over twice and I feel so much worse
I must pause in my writing of this miserable replica
Of the hell I call life to answer the telephone as it rings
And won’t shut up
I am back again but not to stay for the other day my love
Was sent to the hospital
Even though my days are of so gloomy
I must go unto him even now
For you see my friend
Love shall always prevail
