This was written about cubby. He experienced this many times.
Our home was graced with the painting Evening Tide by Maurice Moyer. The water was alive. The movement was no different than the tide coming in and going out. The mountain, to the left of the picture, had a fear element all its own. The moonlight was covered; by the clouds. There wasn't anything haunting, on the surface. However, there was a time seeing it Cubby was frightened! It seemed to draw him. It was as though the tide pulled him. The more he turned away the more it pulled him.

The shore was visible. It was, at the lower end of the painting. The tide pulling him, his feet felt the shore. The mountain had a certain laughter. It was very ominous; especially so, with the dark clouds hiding the moon. There was a part, of the mountain, that gave way. It covered the people underneath. In so doing, they were gone with the tide as it went out. Just before cubby was swept in to this happening, he was able to excape the visions he saw. Where is the painting, now? It is in the burner in ashes.

It was so real! it was something cubby saw all the time for he was sitting across from the painting. but, with it being in the ashes, it is forever gone but remains a memory within cubby's mind.
