Two lives left in a desolate world...
A walk through an autumn park,
Shoe-crunched leaves of fire-blazed glory.
Twin footsteps and a rhythm that
Echoes through the empty obsidian glass paths.
Concrete glistening with unshed tears
Wind mingling with dual breaths
Gentle morning moan of the remnant that was once
A multitude.
Ghostly laughter through rustling trees,
Memories drop one
By one
That were and never will be
Again.
And still
Two hearts.
Eyes lips hands touching.
Warmth spreading against the frosted world turned stone
Hot whispered caresses
And the birth of coupled smiles.
As dew touched grass shivers in
Life-kissed desolate fields.
