Awake for Night

I closed my eyes, dreaming of night.
As blossoms bloomed beneath the Sun.
Waking, my eyes searched for light
In the cold black sky, there was none.

I lay here shivering now because
I've slept through the Sun's warm beams.
I can only be soothed as I once was
In my lonely evening dreams.
