For my mom/mothers day. Just before graduating H.S.
For My Mother
By:Crystal Greene

Please don't think you've failed
When I make foolish mistakes
You've done quite all you can
Now it's up to me to finish the race.

Though I have not really started
But when I do, and you're not there
Always remember
That I listened and I cared.

I don't mean to add to your troubles
and make you wish that I weren't here
But life to me is also hectic;
the world to me seems queer.

I am human just as you are
As human as God allows
I am experimenting just as YOU did
Only THIS is MY trial.

I'm not asking for sympathy,
pity, or anything at all
I just want you to know
that I have "good-sense" and I am strong.

You taught me very well "Dear Mother",
There is no reason to be ashamed,
And because of this day
you should smile when you hear you name.

The name that we have given you
The one you hear EVERY DAY.
I LOVE YOU MOM, and I always will
And this is how I thought to say it.
