We all have ways of getting over someone. It never makes things better
Perfect for feeding sexual desires,
not good enough for anything more
Perfect every two to three days,
just what you want me here for.

Not the one to be loved,
only here to bide this time
Not thought about deeply,
just pushed to the back of the mind.

Never the one taken by the hand,
Always serve as that middle ground
Never wanted for the long run,
kept around until the right one is found.

Not the one that holds place in your future,
simply for the taking every now and then
Observing not one single reflection through those eyes,
merely a mirror for the lusted for I have been.

I'll be a release for the pain you siffre through,
acting as your vaporizer, clearing the airways
I am the cheap one, returned with faulty parts,
put back on the shelf, intact, warranty good for 90 more days.

Together we hold a sense of sadness,
hurt by those that we loved the most
Lost in the pain that we carry around,
compromising the dreams, believing we were that close.
