Wisdom works the other way.
To many in the world today,
"The older you get, the wiser you are."
Well, I've got something else to say,
That wisdom works the other way.

Who else knows the sound of rain,
The smell of spring,
The taste of a candycane,
Better than a child?

Who knows how it feels to play in the sand,
Running carefree,
With shells in your hand,
Better than a child?

Who can smile while others frown,
Play all day,
Make a fairy city pop put of the ground,
Better than a child?

Who else knows that an elephant can fly,
That there's magic in the air,
That your neighbor is a spy,
Better than a child?

To many in the world today,
"The older you get, the wiser you are."
Well, I've got something else to say,
That wisdom works the other way.
