opinion on the causes and effects of war
There is no glory in war, no honor in death
I rest upon the pages of time to find my thoughts
Turning through the bloody sheets I find no victors
Only remorse and pain and mortal bodies let to rot
Whether left on hollowed field or inturned with pomp
It matters not for the only coffers filled belong to the undertakers
And joy comes to only those who reveal in the loss of others
Still the mongers fly high and ask for sacrifice all aptly titled widowmakers......
Bring not destruction in the name of your flag or blame it on your god....
For though there are many beliefs on what or who is God one thing stands true
There is no God that would ask this of you..to take for the sake of a few feet of ground
For if your God wanted it could he not take what is alreadys his you fool?
Only Man draws marks in his mind that others may not cross that line
Is your neighbor anyless human than you and yours?
Blame not the horrors of this world on a god for a god can take care of himself
It is only man who destroys man (and woman and child)
Who would ask for your very souls surrender..
For what matters so little...the imaginary lines, the rise in power, the greed .....
And through all your deeds and more remember
Love stands true and high above the rest but.....
There is no glory in war, you will find no honor in death.
