a poem about murder
The great man
walked before his men
He was immortal in their eyes
To them, he could make no sin

With a glistening sword
And dark enraged eyes
he ran into battle
making angry war cries.

Swinging his sword
and shedding enemy blood
staining his armor
as they fell to the mud.

As the casualties grew
and his armor became red
an arrow was fired
and in a flash he was dead

The great man awoke
with darkness surrounding
his senses were dulled
but the pain was astounding

In the far off distance
A sea of flames appeared
A dark demon emerged
Upon which, blood was smeared

The great man asked why
And the demon’s temper gave way
“But I don’t understand”
“You’ll have Hell to pay!”

The great man then collapsed
And then tears he shed
“Please forgive me” he cried
But the demon’s heart was dead

The man went to Hell
And stayed for eternity
He would live in fire pits
Agonizing into infinity

There is a lesson here,
One that you must now learn
Murder is never forgiven
And greatness is but a human term
