Finding a reason
Wanted to be something,
that you could accept.
Found out that you'd never
accept me.
Just because.

Wanted to be someone,
whom you could like.
Found out that you'd never
like me.
Just because.

Wanted to be somewhere,
where you could live with me.
Found out that you'd never
allow me close.
Just because
in spite of everything
I still am
me.
