“The trinity”

Wearily, before a screen sits a girl named spider.
Readily, she stares ahead and ponders, a writer.
In a moment, fingertips tap on keys,
The demanding muse she must appease.
In a flash, words appear on a brightly lit screen,
Naturally, she downs another cup of caffeine.
Gloating, the muse remains unseen.

Dutifully by her side is spider’s husband, Mr. J.
Ever-helpful, he adds logic to the disarray.
Creating a sense of balance and peace,
And able to help the creative release,
Truthfully, he makes the tension cease.
Husband and muse beside the girl called spider
Long to help the struggling writer.
On her own she will no longer reside,
Not with love and inspiration by her side.
