One of my original poems from about 1992
Sometimes love is a maze,
an enigma that should not be studied,
but pursued.
A culmination of emotion
that can end in seconds,
without one even knowing.

To worry about the end
causes much despair.
Unnecessary anguish that drives
a wedge between the hearts of lovers
that can not be removed
only avoided.

Love was meant to nourish
to enlighten,
to unite,
two to one.
To spark new from old
and to survive through all.

I do not worry about that which separates,
rather, I enjoy that which unites.
