A poem I wrote in 1997. it might not make much sense to you, but it holds meaning for me.
As the sun sets at the end of the day,
And the stars and the moon all come out to play,
The world turns and all creatures sleep.
All that you hear is a soft, heartfelt weep.

You try to remember the days long ago.
You want to embrace them and never let go.
Your dreams of the world slip away in the night.
You remember the mystery, the struggle, the fight.

So hold onto your memories as you cry in the rain,
And remember the sadness that keeps you in pain.
For the ways of the world aren't what keep you alive,
And the pain and the sadness will fade with some time.

Then you try to remember the days long ago,

But they never left you, and in time, you will know.
