This poem has been published in my collection of poems titled, SPACES IN BETWEEN.
The hot summer night thick with humidity
Brought perspiration to his forehead.

He looked out into the darkness
As he sat on his front portch.

He imagined many events in his life
On a make believe screen just
Out there in the darkness.

Loves, triumphs, joys, defeats and sorrows
All rolled by on the projection screen
Of his memory.
