A brief poem about feelings of isolation
As she sits alone,
in the corner of the room,
staring at the walls,
of hopelessness and gloom,
She doesn't know why she's here,
she doesn't know what she's done,
but she knows she's here,
until her time is done.
Days and years go by,
the walls still look the same,
no-one ever visits,
no-one sees her pain.
She slowly loses grip,
of all her pride and mind,
she doesn't understand,
what it feels like to be kind.
With nothing left to gain,
and nothing left to give,
she closes her eyes,
with no reason left to live.
She slowly slips away,
from every living creature,
she slips away to another place,
where God becomes her teacher.
