The Puzzle

There is a puzzle here
its location an enigma too,
If we find it, we won't be through
we'll just know if it's me or you.

I thought from the illustration
On the box in my imagination
That this puzzle would be ideal
A match made in heaven.

I didn't realize there were pieces missing
Jagged jigs that saw and gape
Snaggle toothed holes that peer
Into a disheartening void...

I am a piece, and you are a piece
I thought that we would mesh
But stuffing and jamming ourselves together
has revealed a bent reality...
