relationship with a mother and child
I am one who sins
Dirty
Worthless
As the shadows fall
Do you listen?

A child crawling
Upon broken glass
Nightshade cries
With velvet blood
Do you hear?

Oily shadows
Cloak tighten lace
Swallowed in malady
While death hounds
Mother’s soul not bound

Feet fall unknown
In loving hold
Mother and child’s
Ties never found
Watching silently

Easy her passing
Gift me with memory
Of agape I forget
Chase the hate
Mend the fear

Disquiet trust
Upon human hands
Washes the shadows
Purify the gash
Heal to find Shalom

Creator of breath
Blessed is your way
Thank you for
Shelter among wings
To be held until
The shadows fade away
