A Gore filled battle tale introducing you to a character from another one of my stories.
Slim fingers would wiggle around her hilt, cracking a bit. Battle could be smelled in the air by anyone. Just waiting to break free. It was a total stand off between Temefali, her assassins, and the Eskalane troops. A young soldier sighed out. The creak of someone turning an inch in their leather. Sweat plopped off Arimoto’s face and onto his chest.

She licked her bottom lip just once, half of her lip curving into a bit of a smirk. Just then the desert sands picked up just a bit, blowing out the images of the troops at the end of the line. The rope of tension was pulled too tightly and snapped just as she and Arimoto at the same time, ran forward as she flicked her sword out of it’s shaft. The soldiers issued loud war cries as she turned her sword towards a general, easily slipping it through his chest.

Bones cracked and blood gushed out of him and splattered onto her tiny form. She twisted her sword free, dragging it through his ribs and pulling it out his back with a harsh pull. She laughed happily and mocked his gushed screams, running forward on those two quick legs towards a young peon.

She saw the pure terror in his eyes after what she had done to his lead general. She smelled the sweat pouring out of his chin and the salty tears flowing from his eyes She twisted her sword in her hands, dragging the tip through the dust as she stopped in front of the boy. He was so young, hardly had peach fuzz grazing his chin. She gave a loud sigh and roughly pushed him into the oasis of bushes where they had found the troop and looked around.

No, no one had seen that single movement of kindness and she let her feet fly once more across the burning sand to a man scattered with different awards looking a bit lost. His sword held blood, of whose she had no idea. But the smell of all that blood around her, the cheers and screams, they were all driving her mad. Her eyes glittered at her prize and quickened her pace towards the man, catching him un-aware from behind.

Her Fingers held their tightness on her sword, slipping it around and ripping it quickly through his neck. His head turned as the first contact of cold blade to flesh to see who it was. Then pure coldness filled his eyes. His trembling fingers reached for his pathetic dagger as fast as he could but before the waterfall of glittering red touched the ground he was gone.

She felt his soul leaving his body as her finger gripped his arm. She threw him to the ground and stared around for a moment at her men. They were doing amazing work, running with light quick steps and even in the mists off all this screaming taking the soldiers with the men not even noticing them.

Her fingers flew down and grabbed the mans shirt, rapping a chunk off and wiping off her sword gingerly. The rag was easily tossed to the side as she hurried forward to Arimoto. Blood was pouring freely down his arm but he didn’t seem to notice all that much. He was doing his quick swiped attack towards an obviously un-prepared man. The man who was attempting to fight back was heavily armored and sweating in the severe desert heat.

Temefali laughed a bit as she dance forward and easily slipped her sword in the opening between his arm and his armor. The slipped through his skin and crushed through his bones. The uneven edge sawed back out. His breath grew ragged, she assumed from a pierced lung as he finally crumbled to the ground in defeat, going limp.

“You idiot.” She snarled out at Arimoto, clamping a hand over his arm to attempt to slow the flow of blood. He flicked her hand away and with a glare Temefali marched off to continue the battle away from him. To bad it was nearly over, most of her men already looking over the dead with silent words passing to each of them.

“Line the bodies up and check our men. Make sure all of our men are healed. For pities sake has no one set up a tent for me?” She yelled out to them all. Each man gripped a body and lined it up as a few scurried off to their packs to set up a tent by the shade of the trees.

She scurried over while no one was looking and checked the bushes. For once her heart ripped a bit when she saw an arrow piercing the heart of the young boy. Tears burned in her eyes, attempting to slip free from her lids. She fought them back as she stared at his cold pale face and then turned around, looking around for someone.

“Another body in here.” She said in a broken voice, smashing through the bushes and towards the half erected tent.
