A thought about writing poetry
A Fine Wine


I’d like to think that writing poetry is…
Like making a fine wine
Fermenting in my mind.

Spilling into a glass at just the right time
Giving the glass a slow swirl
Seeing the color and texture.

Tasting it as it slowly rolls across my tongue
Only when I deem it to be tasty
I share it with others.
