An emotional visit to the grave of a friend.
“A Year after your death and I still expect you to call me.”

Allison knelt beside the grave. Tears wet her cheeks, but she managed a small smile.

“Happy birthday,” she said, and lay a small wrapped package in front of the headstone.

“I’m sorry its taken me so long to come back. I just couldn’t face it, you know. I couldn’t face….”

She stopped and wiped tears out of her eyes. She looked up at the sky. The clouds hung low and grey.

“I miss you so much,” she said, “And I’m so pissed at you."

“We were supposed to get our first house together, be roomies. We were supposed to grow old together, Damnit! But you can never keep your promises can you?”

Thunder rumbled. The first fat drops of rain fell from the sky.

“You were my best friend.” She said. “You were my only support. I needed you so badly and you left me. You’re so selfish and I hate you.”
