Reflections upon what has come to be.
Love, so true and freely given,
Turned away in denial.
Wounds inflicted upon a vulnerable soul
Carried deep within.
Anticipating the healing of time.
Seeking warmth and shelter
In the eyes of others.
Knowing the journey past has
Left scars none but you can see.
Promises of friendship begin to fade.
Life must begin without you.
