Hope in Death
Alone now, in this open field,
Come the winter of my life.
Flakes of snow are slowly falling,
Full of hatred, full of strife.
Watching the ice, watch it fall,
Dimming the fire of my soul.
Now falling, forever calling,
To dim my fire, to make me whole.

There now I see my life,
Always traveling against the flow.
Where't thou now summerWhere't thou now spring?
Even the fall seems so long ago.
Flakes of sadness are forever falling,
There dims my fire, for I am cold.
Dimming, falling, forever calling,
To dim my fire, to dim my soul.

Here the silence, feel the darkness,
Of this, Oh, my forsaken life.
Cold enough to freeze your soul,
Dim enough to take your life.
Higher than the highest mountain,
Did the sparks of my soul once fly,
But the winter did make it quiver,
Leaving naught, but a dimming sigh.

Oh, heart of pain, heart of sorrow,
Whence did your memories fly?
When did you leave your happiness?
When did your soul begin to cry?
Flakes of sadness are forever falling,
There dims my fire, for I am cold.
Dimming, falling, forever calling,
To dim my fire, to dim my soul.

Help me, help me, I need you now.
Help my fire, for I am cold.
I'll give you all that I posess,
Just keep me here, keep me whole.
Tell me now, I need to know,
For everyone else to me haes lied.
I only need to know this truth,
How it is to be satisfied.

Falling, falling, help me now,
Catch me for I fall to far.
To lead me far over that hill,
That is beneath the cold, bright stars.
Flakes of sadness are forever falling,
There dims my fire, fo I am cold.
Dimming, falling, forever calling,
To dim my fire, to dim my soul.

Far across these western hills,
Lead me now far away.
Beneath this cold, and adend sky,
Lead me now 'fore I go astray.
Lead me to a stream so sweet,
That I might kneel to take a drink.
In this palce of endless spring,
I see all of my sorrows sink.

Lead me to an open field,
That my head might find a place to lie.
Underneath this warm, bright sun,
Leave me here, let me die.
Flakes of sadness are forever falling,
There dims my fire, for I am cold.
Dimming, falling, forever calling,
To dim my fire, to dim my soul.

This land is bright, I can not see.
It is brighter than the suns own face.
A gentle breeze off a hill,
And across a river as a lace.
I walk in the garden that smells so sweet,
My feet bare in sand so fine.
I bite into the perfect grape,
And from it flows the sweetest wine.

Is this real or but a dream?
Never anything has felt so real.
In this place of endless spring,
My future is forever sealed.
Flakes of sadness are forever falling.
Please, light my fire, I am cold.
Dimming, falling, forever calling,
To light my fire, to help my soul.
