This is written after a revelation.
Loneliness is a cruel mistress
She strikes when you are not ready
You think everything is fine
Like it can't get much better
Then ever so slowly
You get an ache in your heart
That's when you realize loneliness has laid claim
to your heart
And refuses to let go
I'm tired of waiting
For something that never seems to happen
Happiness just isn't in the cards for me
So tired of hoping, wanting, dreaming...
The life I dreamed of is not meant for me
I see my biggest fear ahead of me
That I am now and always have been
ALONE
Don't shed any tears fo me
For I've cried tears until I had no more
Only to find a few more to shed
There is only one thing left to do
To embrace loneliness and smile
Cause in a strange way I won't be alone
Loneliness will always be with me
Oh loneliness is such a cruel mistress
