a political poem i wrote.
The people,
They stand transfixed, hanging on his every word,
They cheer for him, as if he were a god,
He leaves, and another takes his place,
They hang on his every angry word,
They lean to his side,
They turn into a mob and destroy everything,
He smiles, happy with his work,
He smiles, happy that the dogs of hell have been unleashed,
The people, they turn on the ones they were once loyal to,
The people, malleable as copper.
