As if spoken by Jesus, he sees and carries the pain unseen by others.
You're walking through the rain in a sea of sunshine. Your eyes are red from tears, but you smile as though you have never felt pain. Your hurt is extinguished throughout your face and you seem bound to shed tears at any given moment, yet you laugh harder than you ever have. There are people around you. They laugh also, but their expressions are true.

Time stops: I see you sitting alone on your bed, crying,
the false joy and laughter gone.

Time begins again, and I see you once again surrounded by the people.

They do not seem to notice your anguish. I come to you and place my hand on your shoulder, you look up at me with bright eyes and a smile, I see no pain. You step away and the expression on your face is once again that of great sorrow. You hide your pain well. You stand and turn toward the door, still smiling.

Time stops: You are lying face down on the floor
in a crimson puddle with a pistle by your side.

Time begins. I cry.

You ask what troubles me, but the truth is, your pain engulfs my emotions as well as you have hidden yours. The pain that you hide, I feel so plainly. You come to me so that I can consume your pain with a touch, and make it my own. I carry your burden and your life once again fills with joy. You are genuinly happy once again, and your foreseen fate has been avoided. I smile as I carry your troubles, for that is what I am here for. That is why I died for you.
