This is about a girl at my school that committed suicide at only 16.
Everyone would always wonder
Why she constantly cried
It was too late to help her
She felt it was her time to say goodbye
I remember walking down the hall
And seeing her standing there
Tears running down her face
Because she thought that no one cared
But people really did care
She just didn't realize
She thought her life was so bad
And ended it, leaving people wondering why?
I since often wonder why
At such a young age
Life for her was so bad that
She felt like she was locked in a cage
A cage she could never get out of
Where she would never be free
Well, now she's left that behind
It's sad the way it had to be
I'm sure now she's above her friends
Free as a bird she's flying
Her new life has made amends
With happiness she now knows exists
