The world is full of magic... just look around you!
Beneath the pale blue autumn moon
and the branches of dancing trees,
on the quiet current of a midnight breeze,
blows a word to stir the calm.

A shadow flutters amid the dark,
as noble wings unfold,
the silent messenger leaves his perch,
cries out his haunting query.

'Who? Who?' who indeed,
who shall heed the call.
Will the trill of flutes and beating of drums,
be heard here on this night?

Alone the eyes of solemn Owl,
keeper of nights domain,
shall watch the little graceful figures,
of dancers in the dark.

The lanterns draped from branch to branch,
give life to flickering shadows,
which too have come to join the dance,
in gowns of velvet black.

But soon the stars begin to fade,
and Owl's eyelids grow heavy,
the shadows must retreat for now,
till again the pale moon rises.
