This is the story of Toula, a 30 year old Greek girl, who lives with her parents. She is rather unattractive, but decides to get a hold of herself and do a makeover. She meets a handsome college professor, who is not Greek. Her overprotective and very proudly Greek family reacts to her picking the man of her dreams in outrageous fashion.

The movie was written by the star, Nia Vardalos and is the story of her courtship with her husband Ian Gomez (who is in the movie and who played Javier in Felicity).

I saw this movie when it came out and I enjoyed revisiting it, especially since now I know who Ian Gomez is. I love him!

anyone who wants to watch a fine romantic comedy that is only about 11 years old or so.

Nia Vardalos. I wish she would make more films. John Corbett is very good too.

is really good. Michael Constantine is hilarious as Toula's Daddy. He sprays everything with Windex as a cure-all.

it is one where you just sit back and enjoy. You don't have to work at it. It was perfect for my mood.
