Summary of this Book...
Only a few days after Erica Hathaway graduates college, she finds herself having to pitch her startup online business for a loan to investors. She is up for the challenge but didn't expect to go weak when the handsome, self-made billionaire, Blake Landon, practically takes her presentation apart. The arrogant Blake is used to getting things done his way and although he passes on investing in her company, finds ways to get close to Erica. She still has a chance to get her funding while trying to resist Blake and keep him from learning her dark secret.
This type of Book is good for...
I didn't realize this book was erotica until after I downloaded it. It's not the first book in this genre that I've read but I'm not exactly an expert on it, either.
I especially liked...
I guess it fulfilled it's definition of dealing with sexually arousing subject matter. There were certainly enough long pages and many circumstances of sex between the main characters.
I didn't like...
The characters never had any depth. Erica was portrayed as having hard times in her past and driven. Blake was supposed to be arrogant and used to getting his way without resistance. I felt like the author created cardboard cut-outs of each character and wrote their personality traits across the front with a sharpie pen and pointed to the reader saying "they are supposed to be that". Plot lines were left forgotten for chapters as if they didn't matter until they finally threaded back many chapters later. The timing was thrown off and it didn't flow. Oh, but then they would have sex and all was good. Okay, I guess, if you say so. Not really.
Further Comments...
If the only purpose of this book was to pack as many long pages of sex as possible, than this book did fairly well in that department. Unfortunately, if the genre also needs to rely on plot or depth of characters, this book missed the mark.
