Summary of this DVD...
The book was written first before the movie. I found the movie to be very close to the book. This is an unique story and seeing the characters telling the story in a visual way helped to see what the author had in her mind as a vision. The story starts out with an alien species taking over earth. Most of the humans have been infected and taken over by this species. There have been small pockets of humans that have survived. One of the survivors gets captured and is used to attempt in finding more humans. We also get to see a brand new way of life that one group of humans have figured out with the help of one man who started this off on his piece of land. The love theme throughout the story is strong and shows us the power love contains in us that is possible. This story has a voice of it's own and takes you to a place where we have been many times with a twist.
This type of DVD is good for...
This DVD is good if you are in the mood to watch something different. This would be a great date movie or even for someone interested in a love story.
I especially liked...
I liked the strength this movie shows love can be. My favourite part is when Melaniee shows the humans how to take one of her kind out of a human so that both species can live. The only way this can happen is through love and not force. Love is survival and force is death.
The cast of this DVD...
The cast in this movie is amazing. All the characters interacted very well with one another in all their parts.
I recommend this DVD because...
The story line is different. The message is for everyone.
Further Comments...
I also recommend for those that enjoy this movie to also read the book. The movie gives you a good visual of the story and the book gives you a more detailed story.
