This is one of our favorite series. It is a murder mystery series set in quaint villages in the Country of Midsomer. The villages have names like, Badger's Drift and Greater Worthy.

At this point, the lead Detective, Tom Barnaby has retired and been repolaced by his cousin from Brighton, John Barnaby, played by Neil Dudgeon. Jason Hughes stays on as Jones, with Barry Jackson returning as the coroner.

The mysteries are still complicated and fun and there is a new dynamic as this Barnaby is a dog lover. He has a funny, and very good listener, in his dog, Sykes.

anyone who enjoys a great mystery story with a lot of humor in it.

the developing relationship between John Barnaby and Sgt. Jones. It is very funny and uncomfortable for them to adjust to each other.

is awesome. You see a lot of people from Doc Martin and Downton Abbey in this. Samantha Bond (Aunt Rosslyn) was in one of the first episodes of this season.
