Summary of this DVD...
I was so excited for this movie, thinking that oh my goodness... they have to end well on Daniel Craig and his list venture as James Bond 007. And, actually, no they don't. I'll get into my whys, hows, and oh nos within my review. Basically, the main character was phoning it in and didn't seem to want to be in this movie. Which affected it greatly and the performance.
This type of DVD is good for...
Not as much, I'd say if you want to laugh, but it's too dark for that.
I especially liked...
The cinematography within Mexico City in the first scenes was amazing.
I didn't like...
A lot of things, but mainly the villain, the unrealistic qualities, and how the ending totally does not make sense. And makes me want to have my money back... basically.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
Totally get my money back, and I was super excited about it.
This DVD made me feel...
Disappointed, but I would replay the beginning of this movie over and over. I love the masks and how he weaves in and out of the crowd.
The cast of this DVD...
Mainly didn't work together, the love interest didn't make sense to be with 007. They didn't really have the 'spark' of the first film, Casino Royale.
I recommend this DVD because...
The cinematography of that first scene, maybe.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
It is stated about but basically Daniel Craig didn't seem to want to be 007 this time. So, it translated in his acting, the love interest didn't make sense, and the ending made me yell at the TV a little bit.
Further Comments...
I was excited and waiting for this movie to come out with bated breath. Unfortunately, the execution was not there with this. There's some plausibility suspension with 007 movies but this had way too much. Like 007 would get attacked and then his shirt would be perfect. You don't even get a ruffled shirt from fighting? That does not make sense especially when this is a more gritty side of James Bond and he basically is untouched.
