Summary of this Book...
I so appreciate this book, as I took notes from it and I bet I’ll use those notes for a very long time. It gives, in a nutshell, what I have learned from a few psychology credits and then some. It might serve as a developmental and transformational aid to most people who need it and to even those who do not need it.

The main thesis of the book, in its author’s words is: “We become what we feed the brain.” Although neither this author nor anyone else can provide absolute evidence that most behaviors are determined by the unconscious mind, the book concentrates on the input as to what we expose ourselves to, our emotions and thoughts, experiences, decisions, and actions and their results, as all those things have an effect on our neural networks.

The author then delves into the subconscious, its protection programs, the language our brains respond to, and information like that in detail by separating each issue into parts he calls programs.

Later on, he deals with the optimization of the physical brain, neurogenesis, etc. His mention of the Almighty Syndrome made me smile as I have noticed that it exists. Plus, he recommends a few other things such as journaling and other exercises that might be useful for even the sanest person alive.

Also, consciousness, self-responsibility, free-will, self-motivation, self-reliance, ethics, and morals are looked into, in detail. I can’t possibly describe the book in its entirety as if giving a summary for a fictional plot. One has to read it to get something from it.

The language used is clear and direct and in no way, is it difficult, high-brow, or boring. Anyone can read and use the information in it.

My only regret is that this book wasn’t around when I was raising my children. I could have taught them so many things to help with their lives.

Further Comments...
I have to warn the readers that, at the end part of the book, the author mentions, not in much detail, of what some may consider as hocus pocus or spiritual mumbo jumbo. Yet, for the most part, this is a very helpful book.
