Summary of this Book...
This psychological murder/mystery is intriguing, delightful and captivating. I had a lot of fun with the main character, Autumn/Sarah, while reading this novel.

Then, especially the two twists at the end were totally unexpected to me, although at the finish line when I thought back, I recalled the hints, which this points to a brilliant story construction.

The book begins with Autumn Carpenter's finding the social media account of a woman to whom she gave away her daughter at birth. Thus continues the story with Autumn's stalking the family first on the internet, then as a neighbor when the internet account stops. The story continues with many twists and turns, most I never saw coming.

As to the characters, I guess they were developed as much as the other elements of the novel. The character that touched my heart the most was Grace, the adopted, less treasured child.

Then, I noticed the parallelism between Autumn and Daphne. In fact, even their speech was similar. To me, somewhere in the middle of the book, they felt to be almost the same person, despite their external differences and Autumn's ailment. Although some of the similarities were due to Autumn's emulating Daphne, I felt Daphne could differ more internally.

The scenes are presented perfectly with excellent, smooth transitions between them. The easy flow of the story and the settings also add to the success of this story.

Ultimately, the storytelling ability of this author is amazing. I read this book in two sittings. Between the two sittings, I could hardly wait to read the rest of the story. I will certainly read the other books by this author.
This type of Book is good for...
the enjoyment of the psycho-twists of the characters and the unusual plot.
I especially liked...
the smooth yet exciting storytelling even when the action slowed down.
The n/a of this Book...
is Minka Kent, a graduate of Iowa State University and the author of The Memory Watcher, The Perfect Roommate, The Thinnest Air, The Stillwater Girls, and When I Was You.
I recommend this Book because...
i enjoyed it greatly.
Further Comments...
Although considered a murder/mystery, this book has more to do with emotional ups and downs of the main characters. I also liked the idea that what one sees on social media may be different than the facts and that there are no perfect families or perfect people.
