Summary of this Book...
The story is set on San Pedro Island in 1954. A local fisherman is found dead and Kabuo Miyamoto, a Japenese American, is charged with his murder. Even though the trial of Kabuo is the backbone of the story, you won't spend all the time in the courthouse. The book is a tangle of the lives of San Piedro residents, Japanese and American.

This Book made me feel...
In a way the book made me sad. Reading about the complicated lives of Japanese people in America during World War II, and the difficult relationship between Japanese and Americans, especially in 1941, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, made me try and imagine the feelings of those Japanese people, who lived all their life on San Piedro Island, worked very hard and were evicted.
I recommend this Book because...
David Guterson is an incredible narrator. His style is very moving, I found myself not able to stop reading. Snow Falling on Cedars is a treat!
