This is a modern romance set in the decade from 2008 to 2018. It is about a woman who sees someone from a distance and experiences what she believes is love at first sight. She searches for him for a good while, then he turns up as her best friend's true love. The book is excellent, told in first person from the point of view of the girl (Laurie) and the boy she is so smitten with (Jack).

This book was a real page turner of a romance. Recommended to me by my friend Joanne, neither one of us wanted to put the book down. It is a quick read and an enchanting one. There are no easy answers when friendship is involved.

It was a beautiful story and one that would make an incredible movie, with the right actors.

I thought it was brilliant and a very rare book these days - one with a satisfying ending.

Loved it all the way through.
