Summary of this Book...
Laurel's daughter Ellie disappears one day on her way to the library. The search goes on for years until a random assortment of her bones is found, and her family finally get closure.

After Laurel and her husband divorce, Laurel finds a new man, named Floyd who seems like the perfect catch. He has a beautiful daughter named Poppy who reminds Laurel of Ellie.

However, Laurel finds out that Floyd is not who he appears, and that Poppy is, in fact, Ellie's daughter.
This type of Book is good for...
Everyone who likes to read.
I especially liked...
I liked that even though I predicted the outcome of this novel immediately after the bit about Poppy looking like Ellie, I was still drawn to the story.
I didn't like...
There was nothing I didn't like.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
Hug my kids!!
This Book made me feel...
Disgusted, sad and sort of happy at the end.
I recommend this Book because...
It's fantastically sad, deranged and exciting.
Further Comments...
There is a fair amount of Brittish slang in this book, and brand names of products that I had to google. I'm not complaining...just pointing that out.

Another note on the characters: Most of the characters are very lifelike and real. The only one I didn't really ever "get" was Laurel. I realized at the end of the book that I had forgotten what she did for a living, so when she talks about going to work, I couldn't really picture that...she continues to pretend everything is okay with Floyd even though it's pretty obvious that something is wrong. She doesn't emote very much. Despite this, I still very much enjoyed the book. I think I just preferred the parts of the story that were in Ellie's or the math tudor's perspective.
