A spectacular display of pyrotechnics concludes a night of holiday festivities to everyone’s delight. After a day of parades and cookouts, we gather there to watch popping starbursts and pink palms rising in the air amidst the sizzle of red rain that glitters. What a sight! As much as the garish, whiz-bang pageant does to excite patriotic fervor in this holiday crowd tonight, we soon find out that Nature’s version is beyond compare-- a spectacular display. She stirs electric energy in the air to ignite blazing bolts of lightning, which explode with horrendous might, and booming thunder that fiercely shakes the very earth where we stand, awed by this marvelous event, and join in prayer, paying homage to a dazzling panorama of light-- a spectacular display! What bewitching charms do sultry summer nights hold over souls of innocents? Fireflies flicker, float, mingle among dancing stars, as river of life rolls on. Notes on the Mondo form of poetry ▼ |
** Image ID #2223061 Unavailable ** The heartless Queen of Darkness reigns over her domain with an iron fist and ice cold blood coursing through her veins. She goes ballistic when someone mentions her midnight tryst with Mister Vlad from Transylvania and his dastardly intentions. Dismissing loyal minions, her Royal Majesty projects an egotistical attitude and succumbs to scourge of human vanity. Obsessed with quest for eternal youth, she celebrates her birthday with a feast prepared by boiling subjects' flesh and blood. Notes ▼ |
Beneath blue skies, soft waves caress the shore, and attitude begins to soar as ocean breezes croon, while puppy chases butterflies across the rolling dune-- routine's demise. Notes on the Star Sevlin form of poetry ▼ |

The truth is I am naked, prancing across the intersection of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. What's that oshiffer? Have I been drinking? Well, maybe a teeny weeny martoony or three. Go for a ride? Sure. Please take me to the airport. My flight leaves at two. No. They can't leave without me. I am the pilot, you see, and that is the naked truth. Notes ▼ |
Life is fun when we first heat homemade love and treasured when we complete homemade love. I traveled down a dusty gravel road in ragtop Chevy to meet homemade love. Sunday supper with ham and collard greens means we are about to eat homemade love. The smell of apple pie in the oven proves there is nothing like sweet homemade love. Dancing in the kitchen with our shoes off soon impels us to repeat homemade love. No matter what trouble may come our way, there's no way it can defeat homemade love. If our broken spirit requires repair, it must be time to reheat homemade love. In maternity ward nine months later, we are delighted to greet homemade love. When ill winds threaten the spring in our step, we simply add discreet homemade love. The bond we have cannot be bought from store, so we will never deplete homemade love. Marooned at home by quarantine, enchanting song of family beckons to us from up above. We climb the stairs to the attic and open time capsule stored there to reconnect with decades past. Love letters from the war long ago, photographs of our wedding day and Uncle Clyde's snaggle-toothed grin, futuristic kitchen gadgets from World Fair on our honeymoon. These memories are the glue that preserves our sanity during such troublesome times. 14 lines of Free Verse poetry |
On sultry summer night at the beach, moonbeams caress the hearts of couple, letting go of all the stops tangled up in love between the dunes. Notes on the Jue Ju form of poetry ▼ |
Where o where did all the toilet tissue go? Confronted by an empty roll while perched upon the crapper above a putrid pile of poop, after diarrhea went out of control, I need a wipe immediately. This chocolate-colored soup has spattered everywhere. Please find the fluffy extra-ply type that is gentle on my hemorrhoids. Oh! Please also bring a clean pair of jeans. |
