You listed "Death :: Ghost :: Fantasy" under genre for this item. Therefore, it tells me that the protagonist is dead, and that his ghost lingers or is trapped in the room where he died. He no longer feels anything...no hunger, no thirst, no pain, no wariness. But there is a little light where he could peek through, and what he sees is beautiful -- like the life he once had.
This is what I understand from your poem. Still, I do not understand. But that's how cryptic poems are.
I am so grateful to you and your Adopt-A-Newbie project to help newcomers like me learn the ins and outs of this site. It seemed overwhelming at first, but after I spoke with my mentor: orientpearl (pnalayab), I am now ready to post my first item; use the WritingML, the Bitem Format, give constructive reviews, find a group to join, and many more. Now all I need is the time to do all this. Maybe after tax time, since I am in the accounting business, and you know how hectic this period is in my industry right now.
I feel so blessed to be adopted already by orientpearl, and she's been showing me the ropes around the site. I am so lucky to find out that I am only 35 minutes away from her. She came to my house and showed me everything I needed to know in one hour -- things that would have taken me 20 days to learn by myself. We also talked about alzheimer, and I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and helpful she is in this regard. My novel is about alzheimer's because a loved one has been diagnosed with the disease.
This is a wonderful site with friendly and helpful members. I am going to have fun, for sure.
