Review of Conner's Story
In affiliation with WdC SuperPower Reviewers Group
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
This was a good zombie story. I liked that it took place in the UK, that the central character was in a wheel chair.

It bothered me that maybe the main character hates his mother; he did not yell for help!

He did gain his independence and a girlfriend. I saw no errors in structure, grammer or punctuation.

Good job!

Review of A Moment In Life

I agree. I have done the dishes to escape from the world and hide in the peace of the water.
It is especiallly peaceful in the summer time.

I do not see any errors, extra words or things that could be changed. This is well written.

My favorite part is the begining: How do we find a refreshing moment away from the daily stresses of life? Washing dishes can be good for the soul. By focusing on my physical senses during this routine task, a spa experience is available right in my own kitchen.

Review of I am Appalachian!
In affiliation with WdC SuperPower Reviewers Group
Rated: E | (4.5)
I like how the first paragragh it seems as though this is a historical piece talking about the Appalachia and the civil war then transforms into the modern you with your bass boat, new vehicle. That is a great way of displaying how the past is a part of you.

You could explain TVA. I vaguely remember that the last two initials are Valley Authority, but do not remember the rest.

I thought that tornadoes did not hit the Appalachian area since tornadoes avoid high country.

You left me hanging! I am going to search your port and hope you wrote more about the people you have lost on Massacre mountain.

This was good. I hope you have written more about Appalachia.

Prosperous Snow,
I ran across this piece looking for well written stories to see how to write.

What made this easy to read was how you wrote this in small paragraghs. The diaglogue told the whole story.

The story itself was good and well told. I became a fan, so I can look back and see what a piece of really good writing is to try to model mine after.

Review of Conquistador
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
This is a really neat story, I like how you bring history to life and make it exciting.
The ending was dramatic and beautiful. He threw away the gold and rescued someone with golden eyes who must be the real treasure. I found the first 3 sentences hard to understand at first and had to reread them. Then it was like a beautiful flower opened and revealed a beautiful story.
I became a fan so I can read other things you write.

This is the only Victorian image I see. It is beautiful. I hope in the future that you will carry more from the 1800's. Have you seen the free clip art through the Dover Catalog? The guy smoking the long pipe in Victorian clothing would probably sell well for you.

Review of Sibling rivalry

artemis53

this is well written and easily understandable. I did not see any punctuation errors.

I did see a sentence that seems odd to the rest of the paragraph that you could leave in or take out.

Taking a toy away from the interloper seems mild compared to what one really wants to do to them.

Review of Baseball Facts

This was fun. Baseball is so fun. I remember playing baseball in Jr high and learning how to hit the ball. The thrill and excitement of the bat cracking at the ball with my eyes closed when it hit because I was so scared. Then running as fast as I could.

this was a nice game. I enjoyed it.
Thank YOu!

I did not do well.... Maybe it is from lack of sleep.maybe it is because I never read Shakespear. You asked challenging questions. The questions were welll worded and I did not see any punctuation errors. Good general questions.

Great Poll. I will check out your port!

Review of How did you know?

RobiMediaExcellenceAwardWinner,
Now I would never have known that! I have never heard the song. I guess I am an old fuddyduddy. Children's shows have changed alot in the last 50 years. I was a Roadrunner fan even though that was big after I no longer appreciated cartoons with the child's eye.

proton32060,
I just read this, This is Good Advise. I am thinking of selling my house and you just gave me the information I need to sell it.

As far as how this is written, I see no errors. It is a little clumsy in the beginning then graceful when out of the text book lingo.

Thank You! You helped me make a decision.

Good quiz, I guess I could take the bible study class at church and focus less on just singing the songs. Although I went to church daily as a kid apparently I did not retain the information. I guess it will take rereading the bible to remember what I have forgotten.

I am surprised at how people answered this question. I rebelled against the racial religous upbringing I had. I was brought up in a religon that taught that only white people went to heaven. I understand that this was a rather wide Christian way of looking at the Tower of Babel. I walked away from that religon without looking back

This was actually to predictable of answer. It does not surprise me with how there has been a change since victorian times of how people use to take writing desks outside since the outdoor spaces have decreased (people's yards are smaller) and the crime rate is higher.

35% of these people are clueless how dangerous it is meeting people in person that you have met online. Maybe I am jaded from personal experience and unable to see the goodness of most of the people in the world, but I have seen the whites of the eyes of the worst of the worst.

Elisa, Snowman Stik,

Well what can I say here..

This was well written and better than most of the poetry on WDC.
It is clear and understandable; however it is disgusting.
I have to say this is the most disgusting one I have read.
You have successfully found a way that reaches emotions in your writing.

But very well written!

Excellent question to see peoples views.
I personally think there will be a massive die off due to lack of food. So that is actually partially in the oil answer. We are growing food for gasoline substitutes while there is a current massive famine going on in Africa that is being kept out of the media. Probably because we are causing the food crisis with our oil policy.

But what can we do. I do not want a nuclear plant in my back yard.

You left Monsanto off your list of reasons....

This is Hillarious!

MEN ARE ALIENS! That is why they seem so foreign. The scientists of New Zealand have solved the mystery. Now that we know we can now establish teaching plans to better train men to inteact on this planet.

This needs to be expanded. This is more like a good story for like a sitcom.

You should do something with this!

Review of shrinking info

What an interesting question!
I understood shrinking to mean loosing weight, which I would have suspected everyone to say yes.

Of course men would be the 47% that said NO! What dirty minds they have!

I read your story and could not figure out why the mispelled beginning.
I think I missed the whole point of the story?

The title should reflect something to do with the story and I did not pick up anything to do with begging.

Is it in the next chapter?
Let me know what I missed

Joy--in snowball fight!,
You have given me a good tip, putting a notebook next to the computer to keep track of the story. I wonder if a synopsis and blurb are the same thing?
This is an excellent informative piece on how to write a synopsis for a publisher including which fonts are acceptable.
Thank you for writing such a excellent, well written informative piece.

iva*mae,
Thank you for writing such a welcoming piece.
You have opened up more of WDC to me by giving me the insight to use the search box in a different way to search for help. I have found it difficult to get around at times and did not realize that I could search so easily using the search box with those search terms.
Thank you

This was well written and clear with good helpful information.

Review of Character sketch
In affiliation with WdC SuperPower Reviewers Group
Rated: E | (4.5)
ProudPop,
I am doing some writing and needing information on how to develop characters and ran across this to read and review.
I read it. What it did not convey to me was a sense of who the individuals are. Their uniqueness that provides a like dynamicness? to the writing. Without providing more information it is almost like the people are inatimate objects.
I have no advice to offer you since I am lacking the same thing in what I am writing.
