Nice job, Your style in relating to possible real life is excellent. I always enjoy "tell it like it is" writers. Sorry it could not have been just a tad longer. She might have addressed the envelope to her man in France,or wherever ge may have been, before putting it aside. Perhaps addressed to her hero! Poor Lucy Mae, I bet she was real sad that hubby was so flushed. (couldn't help myself.)
Needs a great deal of editing. Sentence structure is poor. Many words used in rapid repetition. Any good story needs TLC and patience in prep before release.
