No Time For Dreaming

He never thought he could fulfill
his fantasies. He worked
all of his life and left
no time for dreaming.

No time to rest; no time
for believing. When soon
he became bored, opened
the door to set the driving winds
of his mind screaming.

It's been cold without desire,
leaving no time for dreams.
Unfulfilled, anxiety was awakened --
the haunt that wouldn't relent.

Unable to deal with reality,
he burst at the seams.
And for never chasing
denied visions, he feels
nothing but regret.
