Playing the game of life.

He tells me I have to play the cards that I'm dealt.
Clubs, Spades, Hearts and Diamonds
are what they should be,
but it seems like the lone joker
is the one for me.

Life seems so complicated.
Each decision I make,
whether to go or to come,
it makes my heart ache.

It can't be that hard.
I've seen others do it.
Why can't I motivate,
before I say
'I blew it'.

To me, life seems more like a game of Monopoly.
You go round and round and hope to
collect the rebate on each turn.
But sometimes your fate is not with you.
You end up in jail and wait until you are bailed out.

As is the nature of life, so I see.
It is full of ups and downs,
in no special order.

But for me,
it just seems that there are more downs than ups.
Is it me or is life just about luck?

Maybe I am not playing the games as they should be.
I finish each round with the words 'so woe is me'.

There has to be a better way to do this.
Any suggestions, and my life will be bliss.
