after death description
Your journey began many years ago.
On chubby legs, you started to walk,
stretching and growing with each step.

Over time you picked up speed,
gathered threads you knit into practical items
to warm us in our travels and
wisdom to weave into our understanding.

Companions shared your vistas,
held your hand on uphill climbs,
fell into step singing the walking songs.
Some moved ahead,  paused,
waited for you to catch up.

As you accelerated,
scenery flashed and blinked in dizzying patterns.
First blinders on your eyes,
then mufflers in your ears
focused you on your goal.

Graceful now, your veils
billow in light breezes.
Old companions again at your side,
you sing the walking songs.
