Poem about the confusion about who we really are in a digital age.
She typed, “IM me,”
and I typed, “Yes, you are.”
She LOL’d. I stared confused.
“I mean, message me, silly.”
She smiley-faced. I silly-faced.
We left it at that. Good enough.
That’s where it stayed: IM me, but not really.
