The Country Girl
By: Monty
Date: 03-19-02

I started talking to her on my CB
Her handle was the Country Girl
That was back in seventy-three
Said she was on the highway
And she was headed south
I was talking from the base
Located in my house
In person I met her later
In a group to form a club
Twenty-six years after
Here comes the final rub
Maybe the club will flounder
Maybe even die
That Country Girl still has
A twinkle in her eye
It seems to be the end of
A many long year trend
But the Country Girl will
Always have me to call a friend
She told me of this great place
Known as Stories dot Com
When I looked I found her here
She goes by Country Mom
Writing of so many things
I like them every one
See if you agree with me
Please try reading some
