My Sadness

My Sadness


My sadness is not of this world
It's caused by gremlins
It's caused by gifts from Heaven
It's caused by thoughts that assail me
That make me nervous and anxious

I take meds for this sadness
But they don't touch it.

I pray to Jesus to take it away
But He tells me it's for my intentions
As a sacrifice

So I suffer this sadness of mine
Patiently
Mindfully
Resigned in its existence in my mind and body
