just passing through
We all need friends at one time or another, someone we can trust without a doubt, someone to lend a helping hand when the going gets tough, someone who feels as close as a sister or a brother.

We sing our songs around a campfire on the beach and recount old memories, like that hiking trip along the Appalachian Trail, where we encountered a bear in a glorious sunset.

However, nothing lasts forever. One by one, they depart this earth and pass through Heaven's pearly gate. I am not worried, though, because I know that one day it will be my turn to rejoin them on the other side, and we will all be together again.
