Whats it like to be locked up
To my brothers who have seen defeat.
Please share with us on the street.
What’s it like behind the wall.
How do you continue to stand tall?
Four dreary walls to start the day.
Trying to remember a better way.
Seeing desperation despair.
Evil feelings and sprits fill the air.
Hours of isolation totally on your own.
Knowing your feelings to allot are unknown.
Proving your self every day.
Knowing there is no other way.
How do you cope? When there seams so little hope.

And with this poem I do pray.
Some will come to say.
What’s it like to see defeat.
Maybe you will help some child on the street.
